RESOLUTION NC). 1180 . <br />WHE.REAS, the City of Paris, Texas, has heretofore determined to ma.ke <br />certain additions to its W-ater System ;acilities, in order to utilize the water from <br />the Pat Mayse Dam= which is now under construction; and, <br />WHEREAS, among other improvements, the Engineering Firm of Forrest <br />and Cotton has recommE:nded a 100, 000 Eievated Backwash Tank; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has heretofore advertised for bids for the <br />construction of such tank, and bids were received by the City Council at 7:00 <br />o=clock P. M. , on February 28? 1966, at the Council Room, in the City Hall, in <br />the City of Paris, Texas; and, <br />WHEREA5, the bids were referred to the Engineering Firm of Forrest and <br />Cotton for their recominendation; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton, did, on March 7, <br />1966, recommend to the City Council of the City of Paris, that the bid of Bering <br />Tank Division, Inc. of Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $18, 150.00, was the low- <br />est and best bid; NOW9 THEtZE.FORE9 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COTJNGIL OF THE GITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS9 That the bid made by Bering Tank Division, Inc., for theerection of a <br />1001 000 Elevated Backwash Tank, is hereby determined to be the lowest and best <br />bid, and the M:ayor of the City of Paris, V. E. Stewart, is hereby authorized and <br />directed to enter into a contract with Bering Tank Division, Inc. , in accordance <br />with the plans and specifications provided by the Engineering Firm :)f Forrest <br />and Cotton and in accordance with said bid. <br />Passed and adopted this 7th day of/Mar A.
