RESOLUTION NO, 1150 , W HERE.AS, the City of Paris did on May 13, 1959 execute a game. preserve contract with the Texas Game, Fish and Oyster Commission, covering the Lake Gibbons property, and thereafter the State Game, Fish and Oyster Commission did begin to and continues to operate a Game and Wild Life Preserve, and has placed on the west side of Lake Gibbons storage buildings and a keepers cabin, and whereas the successor to the State Game, Fish and Oyster Commission, The Texas Parks and W:ld- life Departmc:nt, is desirous of enlarging the present keepers cabin so that the same will be comfortable for a residence for a keeper and his family, to provide water and plumbing facilities, and desires to use water from the lake for domestic purposes. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Manager, H. C. Kennemer be and he is hereby authorized to lease the present site of the keepers cabin, to the Texas State Parks and Wildlife Depart- ment, together with 50 acres of land adjoining the building site for agricultural purpose, the plans for said 50 acres be agreed upon annu- ally, for a term of 10 years from this date, wzth the option to renew the same at the end of the original lease for 10 years, for so long as the same is used for a game and wildlife preserve. That said lease shall grant to the said department free use of water from Lake Gibbons for domestic purposes during the period of said lease, and it shall have the right to run water lines and pumping equip- ment to said keepers quarters. That should said department ever abandon said lake for game and wildlife preserve it shall have a reasonable time to remove therefrom any improvements placed on the premzses.
