RESOLUTION NO. 1138 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City o.f Paris, Texas, has for some time been aware of the congestion of the traffic on the U.S. Highways and State Highways leading into and through the City of Paris; and, WHEREEIS been taking some rather the City of will in the tions; NOW, , within recent years place in the City o.f large industries are Paris, and which, in future aggravate the TH ER EFOR E , considerable new development has Paris, Texas, an d in particular located around the perimeter of the opinion of the City Council, already congested traffic condi- BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, That the City of Paris does hereby request the State Highway Department to undertake in cooperation with the City of Paris, Texas, the widening o.f the highway designated streets within the City Limits of the City of Paris, Texas, and that U. S. Highway No. 82 be reroute3 to eliminate the 90 degree turn at the intersection of Gran3 Avenue and 7th Street, S.W., and that State Highway No. 24 be rerouted from South Church Street to South Main Street to eliminate two 90 degree turns.
