RESOLUTION NO. 1114 , WHEREAS, the City of Paris is the owner of a certain tract of approximately 3 acres of land, a part of the Francis Morrison Surveya and located on the North Side of Loop Highway No. 286; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is desirous of selling said land and has heretofore advertised the same in the newspaper to receive bids therefor at 7:00 o'clock P. M., on January 11, A.D., 1965; and, WHEREAS, said bids were received at said time at a regular Council Meeting; and, WHEREAS, the highest and best bid was bid by Wildey Lodge No. 21 I.O.O.F., which bid was in the amount of $1,012.00; NOW, THER EFOR E , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, That said bid is declared to be the highest and best bid, and said sale is hereby awarded to the Wildey Lodge llqo. 21 I.O.O.F. for said sum, and the Mayor, V.E. Stewart, is hereby authorized and directed to convey said property, which is described as follows: Situated within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar and State of Texas, a part of the Francis Morrison Survey, and being a part of a tract of land conveyed the City of Paris by Yeager-Morphew, by deed recorded in Volume 259, page 473, of the Deed Records of said County and State. BEGINNING at a point for corner at the Northwest corner of said tracty THENCE East a distance of 733 feet more or less to a point in the north boundary line of Loop Highway 286, said point being a corner of a tract of land now owned by Roland Cagle; THENCE Southwesterly along the north boundary line of said Loop Highway a distance of 848.4 feet more or less to a point in the west boundary line of said City of Paris tract ; THENCE North a distance of 367 feet more or less to the place of beginning and containing 3 acres of land, more or less. by warranty deed to said bidder.
