RESOLUTION NO. 1098 . <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has had under discussion for some time, <br />the removal of the East Paris Sub Fire Station farther East within the City <br />Limits,, in order to accommodate the Eastward extension of the City Limits <br />more successfully; andi <br />WHEREAS, such move is necessary and advisable; and, <br />W HEREAS, the City Council has heretofore placed in its Budget <br />Account No. 302-X-1, funds for the purchase of a site for the East Paris <br />Sub Fire Station, locatedfarther East than its present location; and, <br />WHEREA5, Frank M. OlBrieng Jr. and wife, Oberia O'Brien, own a <br />lot fronting on the South 5ide of Lamar Avenue,, immediately East of the~lT', C. <br />Short 7-Eleven Store, with a frontage of 102 feet on Lamar Avenue and a <br />depth of 175 feet; anda <br />WHEREAS, they have offered to sell the same to the Gity of Paris <br />for the sum of $9, 500. 00 cash; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said price is a reasonable <br />price for said property; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That the City Manager, be, and he is hereby authorized to purchase <br />said lot for the sum of $93 500. 00 cash and to pay for the same out of Budget <br />Account No. 302-X-1. <br />Passed and adopted this 14th day oL 5eptember9 A.
