W. Wilson and Helen Wilson to <br />S. B. Maxey and H. W. Lightfoot dated September 5, 1$$3, recor3e3 <br />in Book Q-2, page 478, Lamar County Deed Records; and <br />WHEREAS, said sY,reet has never been cledicated no:r <br />designated according to any plat or addition as a par* of the street <br />system of the City of Paris nor has t'ne same ever been opened or <br />used by the City of Paris upon and across the followinar described tract <br />of land: <br />Situated within the corporate limits of the <br />City of Paris, Lamar County, Texas, a part of the <br />La.rkin Rattan S:i:rvey, and located as shown on the <br />accompanying plat, in reference to South Main Street <br />and ±he Nax4h Boundary line of the Right-of-way of <br />the T. & N.O. Ry (Sa}zthern Pacific Ry). <br />BEGINNING an iron pipe ?.n the NBL of the <br />afor esaid railway right -of -way, a distanc e of 355. 5 <br />feet W est of the W. B. Bell Telephone Coe <br />TH.ENCE East 107. 2 feet to the place of <br />beginning, containing 12210 sq, Et, or Oa 28 acres. <br />WHEREAS, there is hereto attached a photocopy of a <br />limitation affidavit which shows tnat the property or part thereof in <br />question in connection with the street has been used and occupied by <br />Sauthland Cotton C?il Company for more than twenty-iive years and that <br />there i.s presently situated on a portion of the property a metal building <br />that has been located 'chereon for more than twenty-five years, which <br />affidavit is filed of record in Volume 414, page 99, Deed Records of <br />Lamar County, Texas; and <br />JVHr.R EAS, the City has placed no utilities therein and has <br />not used the same far any purpose; and <br />WHFR EA5, it is the opinion of the City Council that the City <br />has no further use for the same, not having ever been used by the City, <br />and that there is some question as to the ownership or the righttrD use <br />the same as a, city street on the part of the City Council and that title to <br />said property should be cleared and that the same should be disposed of <br />and sold: <br />Now, therefore, be it resolved by the City Council of the <br />City of Paris that the Mayor, V. E. Stewart, be, and he is hereby, <br />authorizeci to execute a quit claim deed coverin; said tract of land as <br />
