RESOLUTION NO. 1084 . WHEREA5, the Honorable C. L. Walker has just completed a service of four years on the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas, and has just finished serving as Mayor of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Walker served as such Councilman and such Mayor, he gave of his services for the best interests of Paris, whether on minor or controversial matters; and, WHEREAS, during the year he has served the City of Paris as Mayor, he has conducted meetings of the City Council with dig- nity and directness, and has given unselfishly of his time in inves- tigation and disposition of whatever matters that came before the City Council; and, WHEREAS, this City Council is entirely aware of the sincere devotion of C. L. Walker for the City of Paris and the peoples re- siding therein, which devotion was constantly expressed by his out- standing leadership during his term as Mayor of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is entirely conscious of its inability to express in words the keen respect and admiration of all of the members of the City Council for C. L. Walker; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That we here and now express to the Honorable C. L. Walker our whole and complete appreciation for his years of ser- vice on the City Council and of his service as Mayor, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes for his future welfare.
