1048 RES ELECTION WAS HELD BY QUALIFIED VOTERS ON 2ND DAY OF APRIL 1963

RESOLUTION NO, 1048 WHEREAS, an election was held by the qualified voters of the City of Paris, on the 2nd day of April, A. D. , 1963, for the purpo se of voting for and electing three (3) members at large of the City Council of the City of Paris to serve for the ensuing two (2) year s, to -wit: Three Councilmen at Large WHEREAS, as required by law and directed and provided by the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Paris, such election was conducted and held at four (4) specified and designated polling places, that is, one polling place in each of the four (4) wards of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, sealed returns of said election, made by the duly appointed and designated election officials of and for the four (4) respective voting boxes, have been made to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Paris, as required by law, which returns, after due and deliberate review and canvass thereof, show the following results of said election, to-wit: (1) IN WARD ONE (1) A TOTAL OF 273 VOTES WERE CAST A5 FOLLOWS: For Three Councilmen at Large: Don Flanary, 57 Votes; Richard W. Na e, 237 Votes; Hayden Stripland, 239 Votes; John E. Price, 236 Votes; Write-In Candidates, p Votes. (2) IN WARD TWQ (2) A TOTAL OF 54 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOW5: For Three Councilmen at Large; Don Flanary, 12 Votes; Richard W. Nafe, 47 Votes; Hayden Stripland, 51 Votes; John E. Price, 47 Votes; Write-In Candidates, p Votes. (3) IN WARD THREE (3) A TOTAL OF 71 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: For Three Councilmen at Large: Don Flanary, Zp Votes; Richard W. Naf e, 60 Votes; Hayden Stripland, 65 Votes; John E. Price, 48 Votes; Write-In Candidates, p Votes. (4) IN WARD FOUR (4) A TOTAL OF 96 VOTES WERE CAST AS FOLLOWS: For Three Councilmen at Large: Don Flanary, 16 Votes; Richard W. Nafe, 87 Votes; Hayden Stripland, 90 Votes; John E. Price, 86 Votes; Write-In Candidates, p Votes.
