1041 RES ORDERING ELECTION TO BE HELD ON FIRST TUESDAY IN APRIL 1963

Section J. The Presiding Judge of tne respective voting boxes sha11 designate and appoint such additional, competent and qualified clerks for such respective pollino places and votino boxes as may be required, if any, for the efficient conduct of said election. Section 4. Such election shall be held in accordance with the laws of tne State of Texas governino general and municipal elections, insofar as the same may be applicable, and with the provisions of the City Charter and Ordinances of the City of Faris. Section 5. The Chief of Police of the City of Paris is hereby di- rected and instructed to post a properly executed Notice of Election pursuant to this order for election, signed by the Mayor of the City of Paris, at each of the polling places desionated above, which said notices of election shall by him be posted not less than thirty (i0) days prior to said electhn; further, a properly executed copy of such Notice of Election shall be published one time in the Paris News, the off icial newspaper of the City of Paris and a newsgaper of general circulation in said City, which notice shall be published not less than twenty (20) days before said election. Section b. The pay of the judges and clerks of said election is hereby authorized and established as follows: $ti.UU per day for each judge and clerk; the election judge who delivers the returns of' the said election zmm.ediately after the votes have been counted to the proper office shall be paid an additional sum of $2,UU f'or that ser- vice, provided also, he shall make return of' all election supplies not used when he makes returns of such election.
