RESOLUTIGN NO, 1016 , WHEREAS, it has been presented to the City Coun cil that the City o f Par is is badly in need of a sewer extension and improvement program; and, WHEREAS, the City of Paris is unable to continue its developments in any of the no rmal dir ections in which it should develop, without the in- stallation of certa.in trunk sewer lines, including li.ft stations and high pres- s ure lines, in order to serve various areas contiguous to the City and within the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has been furnished an estimate of approximately $400, 000.00 to insta.ll the necessary sewage improvements and extensions; and, WHEREAS, it will be necessary, in the event the City decides to make such improvements, to call an election for the author ization of the issuing of $400, 000, 00 in revenue bonds; and, WHEREAS, it is g oing to be nec essar y for the City of Pa ris, in the event it does decide to call said election to employ a fiscal agent for the purpose of an ele ction and issuance of the bonds and sale thereof; an d, WHEREAS, Almon & McKinney, Inc. have made application to the City of Paris to act as such fiscal agent; and, WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council tha.t it will be to the advanta.ge of the City of Par is to emplo y Almon & McKinney, Inc. as the fiscal agent of the City of Paris; NG+N, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEI? BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the Mayor of the City of Paris, W. A. Cawthon, be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Almon & McKinney, Inc. to act as the fis ca 1 a gent for the City of Paris, in the event the City Council elects and decides to call an election for the issuance of said bonds, and to pay said firm the fees fixed by the Investment Bankers Code of E thics, copy of such fee s chedule to be attached to said contrac t.
