(4) 1N WARD FOUR (4) A TOTAL OF 313 VOTES WERE CAST A5 FOLLOWS: <br />For Councilman From Ward One: <br />Verlin E. Stewart, 311 votes; <br />Write-in Candidates, votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Two: <br />E. L. (Andy) Anderson, 310 votes; <br />W rite -in Candidate s, 1 vote s. <br />For Councilman From Ward Three: W. D. (Dub) King, 312 votes; <br />Write-in Candidatea, votes. <br />For Councilman From Ward Four: Charlie tiValker, 313 votes; <br />Write -in Candidate s, vote s. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, from the above and foregoing canva.ss of the returns <br />of the votes in the four (4) respective voting boxes in such election, it is de- <br />clared and determined that Verlin E. Stewart is the person receiving the highest <br />number of votes of the votes cast at such eleetion and a majority of the votes <br />cast at such election for Councilman From Ward Chie (1), and was therefore <br />elected to serve as Councilman From yVard One (1) and as a member of the <br />City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that E. L. (Andy) <br />Anderson is the person receiving the highest number of votes and the ma,jority <br />of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward Two (2), and was <br />therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward Two (2) and as a member <br />of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; that W. D. <br />(Dub) King is the person receiving the highest number of votes and the ma- <br />jority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward Three (3), <br />and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward Three (3) and as <br />a member of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing two (2) years; <br />and that Charlie Walker is the person receiving the highest number of votes <br />and the majority of the votes cast at such election for Councilman From Ward <br />Four (4), and was therefore elected to serve as Councilman From Ward Four <br />(4) and as a member of the City Council of the City of Paris for the ensuing <br />tvvo (2) years. <br />Pa.ssed and adopted by the unanimous vote of the City Council of the <br />City of Pa.ris, in special session convened, pursuant to the directions of the <br />City Charter of the City of Paris, on this the 1 lth day of April, A.
