RESOLUTION NO. 981 . <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has, for several <br />years, leased a portion of Culbertson Park, which property is bounded on <br />the North by Neathery Street, bounded on the East by 17th Street, S. E., <br />bounded on the South by East Hearon Street, and bounded on the West by <br />a fence running due North and South from Neathery Street to East Hearon <br />Street, which fence is located on the West Side of the miniature golf <br />course now existing on the area involved, being the area now under <br />fence on the extreme East portion of Culbertson Park; and, <br />WHEREAS, the lease between the City of Paris and Sa.m Skidmore <br />expires on the 31st day of October, 1961, and the said Sam Skidmore ha.s <br />requested a lease of said property for the purpose of operating a minia- <br />ture golf course and possibly other concessions in the future, and to pay <br />the City of Paris ten per cent (10%) of the gross receipts ta,ken in from <br />the operation of any concession thereon by him; and, <br />WHEREAS, he has requested a three year lease, beginning November <br />l, 1961, on said premises, and it is the opinion of the City Council that it <br />is to the advantage of the City of Paris to enter into such lease agreement; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT R.ESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />That the City Manager of the City of Paris, H. C. Kennemer, be, and he <br />is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a lease with Sam Skidmore, <br />of said premises, beginning November 1, 1961, and expiring October 31, <br />1964, said property to be used for the operation of a miniature golf <br />course, and Lessee to pay ten per cent (101/6) of the gross receipts ta.ken <br />in from said operation. <br />Passed and adopted this 9th day of October, A.
