RE50LUTION NO. 962 . <br />WHEREAS, William C. Ragan has completed a service of four <br />years on the Gity Council of the Gity of Paris, Texas, and has just <br />finished his term from April, 1960 to April, 1961, in which he served <br />the City of Paris as its Mayor; and, <br />WHEREAS, during the time Mayor Ragan served as such <br />mayor, he gave unselfishly of his services for the best interests of <br />the City of Paris, even though during much of his term of office as a <br />councilman and as mayor the City Council was confronted with many <br />items of a controversial nature which had to be passed upon by the <br />City Council of the City of Paris, and as time goes on the citizens of <br />Paris will know and will become eternally grateful for his unselfish <br />devotion to the dignity befitting the office of councilman and mayor of <br />the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, his services have taken much time from his work <br />and family on many many occasions, and the members of the Gity <br />Council, and particularly those who served with him, are highly con- <br />scious of the value of his services to the City of Paris; NOW, <br />THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, That we here and now express to the Honorable William C. <br />Ragan our whole and complete appreciation for his years of service <br />on the City Council and for his year of service as Mayor of the City <br />of Paris, and we do here and now extend to him our best wishes for <br />his continued interest in the future of the City of Paris and our best <br />wishes for the future of him and his loved ones. <br />Passed and adopted this 12th day of April, A.
