RESOLUTION NO. 959 WHEREAS, Allie M. OtBrien, owner and operator of the Yellow Cab Company, and the holder of a franchise to operate a taxicab company in the City of Paris, Texas, has requested the City Council for a change of rates and schedules, and in particular with reference to the use of ineters to fix the rates for taxicab fares; and, WHEREAS, the same has been referred to a committee, composed of Hayden Stripland, Charlie Brown, and Arthur Cawthon, and the committee has recommended to the City Council certain fares affecting ta,xicabs which are equipped with meters; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, That the ordinances and resolutions heretofore affecting the fares to be charged by the Yellow Cab Company in Paris, Texas, are amended as follow s: That on taxicabs using meters the rates and fare schedule shall be as follows; l. 35~ for the first mile or any fraction thereof, plus 10~ for each additional one-third mile or fraction thereof. 2. .An additional charge of 25~ per person for each extra passenger having the same origin and same destination. 3. Waiting and cruising time shall be charged for at the rate of $3.00 per hour. All taxicabs not using meters shall charge for their services in accordance with the ordinances and resolutions now affecting said taxicabs. Effective 4:00 P. M. April 16, 1961.
