RESOLUTION NO. 959 <br />WHEREAS, Allie M. OtBrien, owner and operator of the Yellow Cab <br />Company, and the holder of a franchise to operate a taxicab company in <br />the City of Paris, Texas, has requested the City Council for a change of <br />rates and schedules, and in particular with reference to the use of ineters <br />to fix the rates for taxicab fares; and, <br />WHEREAS, the same has been referred to a committee, composed of <br />Hayden Stripland, Charlie Brown, and Arthur Cawthon, and the committee <br />has recommended to the City Council certain fares affecting ta,xicabs which <br />are equipped with meters; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />TEXAS, That the ordinances and resolutions heretofore affecting the fares <br />to be charged by the Yellow Cab Company in Paris, Texas, are amended as <br />follow s: <br />That on taxicabs using meters the rates and fare schedule shall <br />be as follows; <br />l. 35~ for the first mile or any fraction thereof, plus 10~ <br />for each additional one-third mile or fraction thereof. <br />2. .An additional charge of 25~ per person for each extra <br />passenger having the same origin and same destination. <br />3. Waiting and cruising time shall be charged for at the <br />rate of $3.00 per hour. <br />All taxicabs not using meters shall charge for their services in <br />accordance with the ordinances and resolutions now affecting said taxicabs. <br />Effective 4:00 P. M. April 16, 1961. <br />Passed and adopted this lOth day of April, A.
