DRAFT BUDGETk2001-2002\Budget Ordinance - 2001-02 September 13, 2001 ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, ADOPTING A BUDGET FOR THE ENSUING FISCAL PERIOD BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2001, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2002, AS AMENDED, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF PARIS; APPROPRIATING THE VARIOUS AMOUNTS THEREOF; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Manager of the City of Paris has submitted to the City Council a proposed budget of the revenues of the City and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof and providing a complete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal period, beginning October 1,2001, and ending September 30, 2002, and which said proposed budget has been compiled from detailed information obtained from the several departments, divisions, and offices of the City; and, WHEREAS, the City Council has received the City Manager's proposed budget, a copy of which proposed budget and all supporting schedules have been filed with the City Clerk of the City of Paris, and finds that public hearings before the City Council have been provided for as required by Article V, Section 50, of the Charter of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, and by Section 102.006(a) of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas, and is of the opinion that said proposed budget, as amended, be approved and adopted; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS: Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are hereby in all things approved. Section 2. That the proposed budget of the revenues of the City of Paris and the expenses of conducting the affairs thereof, providing a complete financial plan for the ensuing fiscal period beginning October 1, 2001, and ending September 30, 2002, as submitted to the City Council by the City Manager and as amended by the City Council, be, and the same is in all things, adopted and approved as the budget of all of the current expenses as well as the fixed charges against the City for the fiscal period beginning October 1,2001, and ending September 30, 2002.
