0 ~ <br />RESOLUTION NO, 921 <br />WHEREAS, the Pla.nning and Zoning Commission, at a regula.r <br />meeting thereof, on the 7th day of June, 1960, has called to the <br />attention of the City Council the fact tha.t the area between 28th Street <br />and 25th Street, on the North Side of Lamar Avenue, and between 273th <br />Street and 24th Street, on the South Side of Larnar Avenue, has been <br />so commercialized in recent years that rnuch of the properties in tlie <br />areas involved, which are still residential properties, have been ren- <br />dered partially undesirable for residential purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, they called to the attention of the City Council tha,t <br />much of the areas are large and desirable lots, particularly suited for <br />commercial purposes, and have requested the City Council to refer the <br />re-zoning of the properties still rema.ini.ng Residential within the areas <br />described to the Planning and Zoning Commission, and it appearing to <br />the City Council that there is view in the recommendation of the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXA5, That the properties, beginning at the West Boundary <br />Line of a lot zoned Commercial, on the North Side of Lama,r Avenue, <br />being the farthest East commercial lot, on the North Boundary Line of <br />Lamar Avenue, antl continuing West to a rock store on the West Boundary <br />Line of the Mrs. Dovie Beal property, and extending from Lama.r Avenue <br />to the respective North Boundary Line of the owners included in saici <br />area,and thet the area South of Lamar Avenue, beginning at the West <br />Boundary Line of a lot belonging to Dee Harris and continuing West to <br />the West Boundary Line of a lot belonging to Tom Cross and the East <br />Boundary Line of the Carrington Lot, save and except a lot 125 feet <br />by 326 feet belonging to Nathan Bell, which has heretofore been zoned- <br />commercial, and extending South to the South Boundary Line of the re- <br />spective property owners, be referred to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission for a hearing and recommendation as to whether the areas <br />shall be changed from a Residential classification to a"Gtt Commercial <br />cla s s ifi cation, <br />Passed and adopted this 13th day of June, A.
