WHEREAS, the City of Paris, Lamar County, Texa.s, recognizes the need to insure its proper and orderly growth and to prevent further development of undesirable physical conditions; and, WHEREAS, City pla.nning is recognized to be of primary im- porta.nce for the further growth and development of the City of Paris, Texas; and, WHEREAS, the financial resources of the Gity of Paris, Texas, are not adequate to finance in whole the necessary and desirable program in City planni.ng; and, WHEREAS, the Texas State I?epartment of Health, acting as the State Planning Agency, can arrange for- the needed planning and can arrange for the financial assistance from Federal sources; NOW, THERE- FORE, BE IT RESOLVEI? BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE QTY OF PARIS, That the City of Paris, Texa.s, requests the State Department of Health to arrange for the planning services of the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton of Dallas, Texa.s, in the sum of $12, 500. 00. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVEI} that the City of Pariss Texas, will make available upon the request of the Texa.s Sta.te Department of Health, the sum of $12, 500.00, to aid in defraying the costs of the requested sta.ted planning services.
