903 RES BEEN NECESSARY FOR COP TO MAKE ARRANGEMENTS FOR LEASE OR PURCHASE OF LANDS

• RESOLUTION NO. 903. . WHEREA5, it has been necessary for the City of Paris to make arrangements for lease or purchase of lands, to be used as a Sanitary Land Fill, to eliminate the burning of rubbish and trash which it has been doing on its own land; and, yPFiEREAS, Granville C. Farmer has proposed to lease to the City of Paris, several sma.ll tracts of land, some 23 acres of which is located on the East 5ide of 17th Street N. E, between Blake Road and Clement Road, and some 2 acres on the West Side of said Street and between Blake Road and Clement Road; and, WHEREAS, a certain contract has been proposed to the City Council for the conduct of such fill, and the City Council suggested some changes therein with reference to Section 5 and Section 9 of the proposed contract; and, WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that the rental to be charged therefor is reasonable, and tha.t contract as a whole is a satisfactory one; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNGIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, That the City Mana.ger be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into a lease contract with Granville G. Farmer, leasing said land for two (2) years, to be used as a Sanita.ry Fill, with an option of renewal thereof for one (1) year, if the fill has not been completed at the expiration of the original term of said lease, and to pay therefor the sum of $150. 00 for the two years rental, and in the event the additional one year is exercised, and additiona.l $75.00 for that year.
