<br />WHEREAS9 the City Council of the City of Paris has heretofore authorized
<br />and directed the City Manager to advertise for bids for one (1) 75 horsepower
<br />Motor Grader, with an alternate bid for a 100 horsepower Motor Grader; and,
<br />WHEREAS9 said bids were advertised for and were received at 7:00 o'clock
<br />P. M., on the 8th day of December, A. D.9 1958; and,
<br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received:

<br />AND W!-EREAS9 said bids were referred to a committeep composed of Nathan
<br />Bellp Charlie Brownv and J. M. Gladden, for investigation; andp
<br />WHEREAS9 said Committee has investigated said bids and has recoromended
<br />that the bid of Browning-Ferris Machinery Company of Dallasp Texas, for one (1)
<br />New Galion, Model 104 Motor Grader, at a net bid price of $13,033.00, be de-
<br />clared the lowest and best bid, and that the same be accepted; NOiN, THEREFORE,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 11-iE CITY OF PARIS, Tha t the bid
<br />of Broam ing-Ferris Machinery Company of Dallasp Texas, for one (1) New Galion,
<br />Model 104 Motor Grader, at a net bid price of $13,033.00 be declared the lowest
<br />and best bid and that the same be, and the same is hereby accepted, and the City
<br />Manager, Albert K. Steinheimer, is hereby authorized to enter into the necessary
<br />orders and contracts for the purchase of said grader.
<br />IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED9 That since the City Manager has been requested
<br />to use the old motor grader as a trade in to finance the purchase of the grader
<br />mentioned herein and to execute a conditional sales contract to the seller,
<br />payable in two (2) annual installments, the first of which to be due and payable
<br />November 1, 1959, in the amount of $6,516.50, and the second to be payable
<br />November 1, 1960, and in the principal sum of $6,516.50, which contract shall
<br />bear interest at a rate not-to exceed four per cent (4;6) per annum, and that
<br />since the seller contemplates the sale of such conditional sales contract to
<br />The Liberty National Bank in Paris, the City Manager is hereby authorized to
<br />make the necessary arrangements for the transfer of said conditional sales con-
<br />tract to said Bank.
