839 RES INDUSTRIAL COMMITTEE OF CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAVE BEEN NEGOTIATING WITH MANSFIELD TIRE AND RUBBER CO

• i RESOLUTION N0. 839 . WHEREAS, the Industrial Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Paris and Lamar County, and the City of Paris have been negotiating with the Mansfield Tire and Rubber Company, looking forward to it locating a plant on a portion of the Old Legion Airport; and, WHEREASO it is going to be proper afld necessary to furnish a sewage line to the proposed site on which the manufacturing plant is to be located; and, WHEREAS9 the City of Paris will receive $4,500.00 from the sale of the 30 acre tractp and the estimated cost of the sewage line will be approximately $2,000.00; andl WHEREAS9 the City Council still has sufficient awney in its Contingent Fund; NOW, TtiEREFORE, BE IT RESGLVED BY THE CI?Y ODUhiCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorizedl in the event the loca tion of said manufacturing plant is made certaing that he proceed to lay an adequate sewage line to such manufacturing plantp and that the same be done with City Forces and City materials, and that same be paid for out of the Council's Contingent Fund, and that the costs of such improvement be transferredsout of the $4,500.00 received in the General Fundi to the Water and Sewer Fundl Account No. 851 Y-4 and Y-13.
