<br />RESOLUTTON ~IO.
<br />4'JHEREAS, the C"ity Council of the City of Paris has determined to
<br />rehabilitate the Old City VJater Treatment Plant and the Camp Maxey
<br />Treatment Plant, and to construct Booster pump Station No. 2, which are
<br />fully described in Forrest and Cottonts Project No. 802-12-57; and,
<br />VJHEREaS, the City of ?aris has heretofore advertised fer bids for
<br />the construction of such preject; and,
<br />the bids were received on January 6, 1958 by the City
<br />Council, in the City Hall, in the City of Paris, being some eight biGS in
<br />number; and,
<br />mEAS, said bids were referred to the Enyineering Firm of Forrest
<br />',4HET
<br />and Cctton for checkiny, tabulation, and recommendations; and,
<br />ti'd-iEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton has, by letter
<br />dated January 10, 1958, selscted the bid of M. D. Misso Construction
<br />Company, which basic bid Nras in the sum of $169,276.00, and drhose supple-
<br />mental bid for Items 6 to 11, inclusive, was in the amount of $1,254.50,
<br />each of ti^rhich have been recommended as the lowest and best bid for the re-
<br />spective itcros, by the Engineering Firm of rorrest and Cotton; and,
<br />'hIHEEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris is of the opinion
<br />that said contract should be awarded, in accordance vri.th said recommenda-
<br />tion, to 114. D. Misso Ccnstructicn Company, of Paris, Texas, the lowest and
<br />best bidder, in the total sum of $169,276.00 on its basic bid, and such
<br />items as the City of Paris desires to have furnished by the bidder, all
<br />according tc Schedule shown in such bid, in the total sum of $1,254.50 in
<br />said supplemental bid, same being the lowest and best bid therefor; NOVJ,

<br />BE IT RESOLVID BY THE CITY CdUivCIL Or THE CITY 0F PIaRIS, That said
<br />contract be, and the same is hereby awarded to M. D. Misso Construction
<br />Company in the amount for a basic contract, in the sum of $169,276.00, in
<br />accordance with the plans and specifications covering said basic portion
<br />of said project, and that such portions of the supplemental bid be awarded
<br />to M. D. Misso Construction Company on such items as the City of Paris may
<br />elect to have furnished by the contractor, in accordance with the plans
<br />and specifications. That upon the furnishing of the performance bond and
<br />the execution of the contract on the part of 14. D. 141isso Construction
<br />Company, the City Manager, Albert K. Steinheimer, be, and he is hereby
<br />authorized and directed to enter into said contract for and on behalf of
<br />the City of Paris, Texas, in accordance wi.th the terms and provisions of
<br />this resolution.
