• 0 <br />RESOLUTIOAT Np . <br />WtEREAS, the City •f Paris has heretafore advertised for bids c>n <br />Pro,ject No. 802-10-57 fcr a two million gallon ground storage taNc; anci, <br />WHEREAS, bids were received on November 4, 19579 at which time such <br />bids were opened and referred to the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton har now de-- <br />termined that the lowest and best bid is the bid of Pittsburgh-0es Moines <br />Steel Company, which is in the ainount of $820896.73; and, <br />WHEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton has recommeinded <br />that the same is the lowest and best bid, and that the coutract be awariied <br />to Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Cocnpany; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is apparent to the City Council of the City of Pari;a <br />that the same is the lowest and best bid; NOW9 THEFtEFpRE9 <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the <br />bid of Pittsburgh-Des Nbines Steel Company be declared the lowest and best <br />bid for the furnishing of the two million gallop groand storage tanic, <br />according to the plans and specifications heretofore furnished to the <br />bidder. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Paris enter into a con- <br />tract with the Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company to pay the sum of <br />$82,896.73 for the furnishing of Project No. 802-10-57, and upop their <br />entering into proper performance bond and the required insurance coveragie <br />the City Manager, Albert K. Steinheimer, is hereby authorized and directi-ad <br />to enter into said contract and to exacute the same fer and on behalf of <br />the City of Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this llth day of November, A.
