A RESO LUTION REQUESTING THE RESERVATION OF CAPITAL GRANT FUNDS, APPROVING THE UNDERTAICING OF SURVEYS AND PLANS FUR AN URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT t AND THE FILING OF AA1 APPLI - CATION FOR FEDERAL ADVANCE OF FUNDS. WFEREAS, under Tit1e I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended, and the Housing Act of 1954, the Housing and Home Finance Administrator is authorized to extend financial assistance to localities in the elim- ination and prevention of the spread of their slums and urban blight through the planning and undertaking of urban renewal projects; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest that the City of Paris, Texas prepare surveys and plans, presently estimated -to cost approximately Sixty-Nine Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-Seven ($69,837.00) dollars, in order to undertake and carry out an urban renewal projec-t of the character contemplated by Section 110(c) of said Title I, in that certain area, proposed as an Urban 8enewal Area, situated in thia City of Paris, County of Lamar, and State of Texast and described as follows: Being that certain area, section and portion of said City of Parist known and designated as the Frisco Santa Fe Urban Renewal Survey, and bounded generally as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the W. B. Line of 25th St.9 N.W. with the N.B. Line of Bonham Street; Thence South with the W.B. Line of 25th St.9 N.W. to the Paris City Limit Lines; Thence Easterly with said City Limit Line to the E.B. Line ojF 19th St., S.W.; Thence North with said E.B. Line of 19th St..~ S.W. to the S.B. Line of West Austin Street; Thence East uvith said S.B. Line of West Austin Street to the W.B.
