..N. • ~ 40 <br />RESOLUTION N0. 736 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has for several months <br />been observant of certain zoning classifications that, in the opinion of the <br />City Council, should be made in the City of Paris; and, <br />WHEREAS, the tendency within recent years has been for the business <br />district of Paris to spread from the Plaza, West on Bonham Street, and from <br />the Plaza, East on Lamar Avenue and Clarksville Street.; and, <br />4YHEREAS, numerous requests have been received for re-zoning certain <br />portions of the areas along Bonham Street and along Lamar Avenue and <br />Clarksville Street; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is aware of the fact that due to the normal <br />growth of the City of Paris, additional areas will become necessary in which <br />to locate business institutions andl in particular, retail stores; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the following de- <br />scribed two areas, known as Tract 1 and Tract 2, are the natural and logical <br />extensions East and West of the present business area: <br />TAACT 1: All of that area located on Bonham Street and <br />beginning at the intersection of the N. B. Line of Bonham <br />Street and the W. B. Line of 4th St.p N. W.; <br />Thence North to the S. B. Line of West Houston Street; <br />Thence Vdest with the S. B. Line of West I-iouston Street <br />to the E. B. Line of 6th St., N. 1V.; <br />Thence on a line drawn VJest until the same intersects <br />the S. B. Line of Ashby Street; <br />Thence South to the N. B. Line of Bonham Street; <br />Thence East with the N. B. Line of Bonham Street to <br />the place of beginning. <br />Also, beginning at the intersection of the N. B. Line <br />of Bonham Street and the W. B. Line of 9th St., N. W.; <br />Thence North to the S. B. Line of Connor Street; <br />Thence West with the S. B. Line of Connor Street to the <br />East Boundary Line of the combined right of way of the Frisco <br />and Santa Fe Railroad Companies; <br />Thence South with the E. B. Line of the railroad right of <br />way to the N. B. Line of Bonham 5treet; <br />Thence East with the N. B. Line of Bonham Street to the <br />place of beginning. <br />Also, beginning at the intersection of the S. B. Line of <br />Bonham Street and the W. B. Line of 4th St., S. W.; <br />Thence South to the N. B. Line of Grand Avenue; <br />Thence West to the intersection of the N. B. Line of <br />Grand Avenue to the E. B. Line of 7th St.v S. W.; <br />Thence North with the E. B. Line of 7th St.f S. W. to <br />the S. B. Line of Bonham Street; ' <br />Thence East with the,9. B. Line of Bonham Street to the <br />place of beginning. Also, beginning at the intersection of the S. B. Line of <br />Bonham Street and the W. B. Line of 8th St.0 S. W.; <br />Thence South with the W. B. Line of 8th St., S. W. to the <br />N. B. Line of West Kaufman Street; <br />Thence West with the N. B. Line of West Y.aufman Street to <br />the South East Corner of a tract owned by the Paris Coca Cola <br />Bottling Company; Thence North with the E. B. Line of the Coca Cola Bottling <br />Company tract to the S. B. Line of Bonham Street; <br />Thence East with the S. B. Line of Bonham Street to the <br />place of beginning. <br />
