• • <br />RESOLUTION N0. 71. <br />WI-IEREAS, the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton has called to the <br />attention of the City Council of the City of Paris certain proposed chzinges <br />in Project No. 803-3-57 with reference to the twelve inch (1211) water line in <br />South Church Street, as shown on their original plans and specificatioris, and <br />extending South to the City Limits; and, <br />WEEREAS, it has been called to the attention of the City Counci.l of <br />the City of Paris that that portion of such line between the beginning point <br />on South Church Street and Evergreen Street would require the cutting af sub- <br />stantial nine inch (911) concrete street; and, <br />Wh'ER"ZAS, the Engineers have recommended that the same be changed and <br />placed from the Texas and Pacific Railroad Tracks to Evergreen Street down <br />South Main Street; Thence up Evergreen Street to South Church Street, and on <br />South to the City Limits; and, <br />WHEREAS, it appears to the City Council that same can be done at a <br />lesser cost than the original plans; NOW, TI-EREFGRE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY 0"JUNCIL GF THc CITY OF PARIS, That the <br />Engineers be authorized to enter into Change Order No. 2 with the Stimson <br />Contracting Company, such Change Order to be signed by the City of Paris by <br />and through its City Manager, Albert K. Steinheimer, and that such change <br />be and the same is hereby authorized by the City Council of the City of <br />Paris. <br />Passed and adopted this 31st day of May, A.
