700 RES CITY COUNCIL ADVERTISED FOR BIDS

• • RESOLUTION N0. 700. UJHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris has heretofore ad- vertised for bids on certain repairs to the Water Treatment Plant located at Lake Crook, according to plans and specifications prepared by Forrest and Cotton, Consulting Engineers, of Dallas, Texas, said bids to be re- ceived at 7:00 otclock P. M., april 15, 1957; and, WHEREAS, bids were received, and the same have been tabulated by the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton, and it has been recommended that the bid of Southern Waterproofing Company of Dallas, Texas, in the amount of $4,600.00, on Item 2 of Project No. 802-4-57, is the lowest and best bid; and, WHEREAS, it was the suggestion of the Consulting Engineers tha-t since Southern Waterproofing Company was the lowest and best bidder, t11at upon their complying with the necessary financial statement, execution of the proper contract and performance bond, that said contract be awarded to Southern Waterproofing Company; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY GnUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That i:he bid of Southern Waterproofing Company on Item 2 of Project No. 802-4-57 be, and the same is hereby declared to be the lowest and best bid for :said item of said project, and upon the company's furnishing satisfactory fi.- nancial information, together with contract and performance bond, said contract is hereby awarded to Southern Waterproofing Company for the sutm of $4,600.00. Upon compliance with the above, the City Manager of the City of Paris, Mr. A. K. Steinheimer, is hereby authorized and directed to exe- cute such contract on behalf and for the City of Paris.
