692 RES CITY COUNCIL ON 1ST DAY OF FEBRUARY 1957 ENTERED INTO CONTRACT WITH PIPE LININGS INC

• • RESOLUTION N0. 692 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris did, on the lst day of February, A. D., 1957, enter into a contract with Pipe Linings, Inc. to clean and cement line certain water mains described in said contract, which contract is Project No. 803-1A-57; and, WHEREAS, under Section 10 of said contract, the completion date for Contract 1 of Project No. 803-1A-57 will expire on April 26, 1957; and, WHEREAS, it is common knowledge to the City Council of the City of Paris that considerable wet weather and rain have been experienced during the period of this contract; and, WHEREAS, Pipe Linings, Inc. has requested an extension of the completion time; and, WHEREAS, the same has been agreed to by the Engineering Firm of Forrest and Cotton by letter dated April 3, 1957; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that it would be to the advantage of both the City of Paris and the contractor to extend such time for the completion of Contract 1 of said project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY GbUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the completion date on Contract 1 of Project No. 803-1A-57 be, and the same is hereby extended from the date of April 26, 1957 to the date of May 15, 1957, and that the City Manager furnish the contractor with a copy of this resolution.
