Now that you have a zero increase budget, as he understands, and no tax increase, the City Council can dispense with a lot of the other items and he will go through those as they appear on the agenda. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, to approve the changes that have been made to the City Manager's proposed budget. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, that there is to be no tax increase for the calendar year 2001 for the City of Paris. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. Resolution No. 2001-135, setting a public hearing for the 17th day of September, 2001, at 6:00 P. M. in the Paris Junior College Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas, for the purpose of hearing written and oral comments from the citizens of the City of Paris concerning the proposed amendments to the City Manager's proposed annual budget for fiscal year beginning October 1, 2001, and ending September 30, 2002, was presented.
