679-A RES CITY COUNCIL APPOINTED COMMITTEE FROM CITY COUNCIL TO CONFER AND REPORT ON PROPOSED SOIL CONSERVATION AND FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT

t . • RESOLUTION N0.679-A . WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore appointed a committee from the City Council of the City of Paris to confer with and report upon a proposed Soil Conservation and Flood Control District for the Pine Creek Water Shed; and, WHEREAS, said committee has reported and made its recommendations; and, WHEREAS, the report of the committee has been approved by the City Council of the City of Paris; and, WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that said project is beneficial to the area involved; NOVd, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, That the City Council join with the representatives of the Soil Conservation and Flood Control District for the Pine Creek area and with the Commissionerst Court of Lamar County, Texas in requesting that a survey be made of said Pine Creek Water Shed to determine the feasibility of the water control and conservation project for said area; pro- vided, however, that nothing in this resolution be construed to waive any of the existing water rights of the City of Paris in and to the Lake Crook Water Shed.
