• • <br />RESOLUTION N0. 659 . <br />WHEREAS, heretofore, bp Ordinance No. 13$5, duly passed <br />on the 25th day of September, A. D., 1956, recorded in Permanent <br />Ordinance Records of the Citp of Paris, the City of Paris ar- <br />dered the permanent improvement of certain portions of pubAic <br />streets designated therein, by excavating, grading, and paving <br />the same, bp the construction of curbs and gutters wherever re- <br />quired, according to the plans and specifications on file with <br />and approved by the City Council; and, <br />WHEREAS, such streets ordered improved are described as <br />30th Street N. E. from the North Curb Line of Lamar Avenue to the <br />South Curb Line of East Cherry Street; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance, the Citq Manager <br />advertised for bids for the constructio n of such improvemernts, <br />and bids were received and opened, all as required bp the Charter <br />of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texas; and, <br />WHEREAS, the bid of Lamar Equipment Company, of Paris, <br />Texas, in the amount of $10,741.53, fbr said Project No. <br />406-10-56, was the lowest and best responsible bid, the City <br />Council does and hereby awards to said bidder the contract for <br />the construction af such improvements; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CIq'Y OF PARIS, <br />That the above and foregoing contract be awarded to Lamar <br />Equipment Company of Paris, Texas, and the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute the contract on behalf of the <br />City of Paris, if and when, as required by the specifications <br />covering said pro,ject, said Lamar Equipment Company executes <br />performance bond and contract. <br />That the Director of Publie Works of the City of Paris <br />be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City <br />Council estimates and rolls as required by law for the streets <br />and portions thereof to be so improved, showing thereon the <br />total cost of such improvements and showing in detail the de- <br />scription of each parcel of property abutting thereon, together <br />with the names of the apparent owners thereof, the number of <br />front feet of each such parcel of propertq, and the amount to be <br />assessed against the same, and such other pertinent information <br />as may be required by law. <br />Passed and adopted this 19th day of November, A.
