646 RES BY ORD NO 1385 PERMANENT IMPROVEMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF PUBLIC STREETS ARE APPROVED BY CITY COUNCIL

• • RESOLUTION N0. ._646 . VVHEREAS, heretofore, by Ordinance No. 1385 , duly passed on the 13th day of August, 1956$ recorded in permanent ordinance records of the City of Paris, the City Council ordered the permanent improvement of cer- tain portions of public streets designated therein, by excavating, g:rad- ing and paving the same, and by the construction of curbs and gutter:s where required, in accordance with plans and specifications on file ivith and approved by the City Council; and$ WHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinanceg the City Manager advertised for bids for the construction of such improvements and bids were received and opened, all as provided by the Charter of the City of Paris and i;he laws of the State of Texas; and, WHEREAS, the bid of Roy L. Williamson in the amount of $ 10 `210.48 was the lowest and best responsible bid, the City Council has awarded to said bidder the contract for the construction of such improvements; and, WHEREAS, the contract form and contract documents, includino, the performance bond required by the agreement and by the law, have been executed by said contractor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OJUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That the form and substance of the contract and contract documents heretofore executed by Roy L. Williamson , providing for the construction of the improvements above described be, and the same are hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Paris. That the performance bond accompanying said contract and executed by said contractor be, and the same is hereby accepted and approved. That the Director of Public Works of the City of Paris be, and he is hereby directed to prepare and file with the City Council estimates and rolls as required by law for the streets and portions thereof to be so improved, showing thereon the total cost of such improvements, and showinq in detail the description of each parcel of property abutting thereon, together with the names of the apparent owners thereof, the number of front feet of each such parcel of property and the amount to be assessed against the same, and such other pertinent information as may be requ:ired by law.
