645 RES CITY COUNCIL AUTHORIZED CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR AND RECEIVE BIDS

• • RESOLUTION N0, b~.5 WfEZEAS, heretofore, the City Council has authorized the City Manager to advertise for and receive bids for certain water mains, being Proj ect No. 803-10-56; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to said authorization, the City Manager advertised for bids for the construction of such water mains, and bids were received and opeated, all as provided by the Charter of the City of Paris and the laws of the State of Texa.s; and, WHEF2EAS, the bid of Wilson M. Snith in the amount of $7,003.00 was the lowest and best respQnsible bid, the Citp Council has awarded to said bidder the contract for the construction of such improvanents; and, WHEREAS, the contract form and contract docwnents, includinq the performance bond required by the agreanent and by the law, have been exxecuted by said contraotor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: That the fonn and substance of the contraet and eontract documents heretofore executed by Wilson M. SYni.th providing for the construction of the improvements abo9e described be, and the same are hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Paris. That the performance bond accompanying said contract and execu.ted by said contractor be, and the same is hereby accepted and approved. Passed and adopted this DA- day of October, 1956.
