• <br />RESOLUTION N0. 63 5 . <br />4VHEREAS, the water consuming customers and citizens of the C:ity <br />of Paris are presently demanding and using water at a rate which exceeds <br />the pumping, storage and distributing capacities of the City of Pari:s; <br />and, <br />WHEREAS, such excessive use has created an urgent and serious <br />condition in that the water storage facilities of the City of Paris :nave <br />been seriously depleted and reduced below a point considered safe fo:r <br />fire-fightina purposes during the current and continued drought cond:i- <br />tion; andp <br />VdHEREAS9 it is the considered opinion af the Governing Body of <br />the City of Paris that immediate, necessary, and drastic steps must ;oe <br />taken to curtail the use of water during certain critical hours of the <br />day in order to keep aconstant and adequate supply of water on storage <br />for fire-fighting purposes; NOW, T1-IEREFOREt <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, Tha-t <br />the use of water for lawnp garden and shrubbery watering purposes be- <br />tween the hours of 8:00 otclock A. M. and 6:00 o*Clock P. M. on each <br />day of the week, except Sunday, beg and the same is hereby immediately <br />prohibited, and such prohibition shall continue until the present urgent <br />condition is relieved and until further action by the City Council. <br />That all resolutions and motions heretofore passed by the Cii;y <br />Council of the City of Paris with reference to the restricted use of <br />water during the present emergency, which are in conflict herewith, be, <br />and they are hereby repealed. <br />Passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Paris :in <br />special session convened on this the 17th day of August, A.
