Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />July 18, 2012 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at <br />4:05 p.m. on July 18, 2012, in the office of the Director by Linda Vandiver.. <br />Present: <br />Pat Books, Hilda Mallory, Fran Neeley, Alice Woodard, Linda Vandiver, and Library <br />Director Priscilla McAnally. <br />A. Approval of Minutes <br />The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as distributed. <br />B. New Business <br />Officers for the coming year were elected. They are Linda Vandiver as Chair, Deborah <br />Hatley as Vice-Chair, and Alice Woodard as Secretary. <br />C. Old Business <br />No items for discussion. <br />D. Presentations <br />a. Budget Report <br />While the Library is over budget in some lines, overall it is still within the budget <br />for the year. <br />b. Statistical Report <br />Circulation and library visits were down last month from the same time last year. <br />E. Friends of the Library <br />The director reported that the curbside book drop will be refurbished (with the <br />Friends covering the cost) as soon as a painter/repairman can be found. <br />F. Director's Remarks <br />The Director will apply to the Texas State Library for a subsidy for the courier <br />service that is used for Interlibrary Loans. OneClick Digital, the online source for <br />the download of audio books, is up and running. A demonstration of the <br />Library's e-Resources will be presented at the next meeting. <br />44 <br />
