We accomplish that <br />prittiarily by buildittg affordable hames and providinb down payment assistance lo low lind <br />moderate income families throughout Paris and the surrounding counties, stimulating econoinic <br />growth and restoring neighborhoods. Paris Living lias worked to benefit the community <br />through several activities, includinb: spearheading the dream and effort to revitalize P,aris <br />neighborhoods and make the Ciry a desirablc place to Gve and work; building new affordable <br />housing for families whose incomes are between 40% and 80% of the median household <br />income for Lamar County; building int'ill homes on donated vacant lots in established <br />neighborltoods, demolishing burned out and dilapidated inner city houses; provid!,ing <br />iitforrnation for major area employers regarding employee housing related problems; <br />stimulating the development in the downtown core area; and bringing other community <br />organizations together to work toward a common boat. <br />Paris Living lias directly assisted over 60 low income families become first time homeowners <br />tlirougl► providing down paymeiit assistance to purcltase new and existing homes irt the Ciry and <br />the surrounding four counties of Lamar, Red River, Fannin and Delta. fn uddition, Paris <br />Living's eontcacted consultant has over twenty-two years experience in liomebuyer assistance <br />programs and over nineteen years experience working with programs funded by the Te:aas <br />pepartment of Housing and Community AFfairs (TDWCA). In that time, he has Iielped <br />thousands of low incoine families throughout Texas become first time homeowners. lf selected, <br />Mr. Hunter, on behalf of Paris Living„ will have the primary responsibility for the successFul <br />completion of the City s contract with TDHCA.
