• - s • <br />RESOLIITION N0. 536 • <br />WHEREAS, it appears that in February, 1946, the City of Paris, by <br />and throu~h its City Council, adjusted and settled the delinquent taxes <br />owing to said city on certain properties then belonging to the L. H. <br />Henegan, including Lpt 12 in City Block 71, assessed as a lot 50 feet <br />in width by 150 feet in depth, and Lvt 13 in City Blook 71, assessed as a <br />lot 47 feet in width by 117 feet in depth, suah ad3ustmsnt cavering the <br />taxable yrears 1932 through 1944; and, <br />yYHEREAS, it appears that the representatives of the estate of the <br />said L. H. Henegan Estate actuell,y made payment to said city of said <br />adjusted delinquent taxes, but that one J. A. Bi.nion, City Secretary of <br />said City, on February 14, 1946, erroneously applied said monies in payment <br />of the delinquent taxes awing on Lot 27 in City Block 69, assessed in the <br />name of M. W. Johns on, f or the years 1919 through 1944. <br />N0ff, THEREFOP.E, BE TT RESOLVED BY TEE CITY COIIPICIL OF THIS CITY OF <br />PARIS, TEXAS, that it be found, declared and d6termined that there are <br />no taxes owing to the City of Paris on said Lots Nos. 12 and 13 in City <br />Block No. 71, now assessed in the name of Nanoy Lyons, for the tazable <br />yeare 1932 through 1944, inclusive, and the City Clerk and Tax Collector <br />of said City are hereby authorized and direoted to strike and remove fram <br />the tax rolls any and all tax assessments for such years against said <br />property, and said offioers are further directed to restore on and to the <br />City tax rolls the assessments heratofore made against said Lot 27, Block <br />69, for said taaable years of 1919 throu-h 1944. <br />PASSED this 9th day of March, 1953, upon motion of Councilman <br />lEi✓ij, seaonded by Counailman ff05c 0~ :rt 't'VES , e.nd <br />adopted by a votez of &_"Ayes" and no "Noes". <br />
