~ 6 - • RESOLUTION NO. 500 WHEREAS$ a motor grader owned and use d by the City of Pari s for mainterance aaid construction of streets and thoroughfares with'Ln the City has beoome out of repair to such an extent that it can no longer be safe 19 or e conomically operat ed; and Because of the necessity of maintaining the streets in a safe and passable oonditi on and due to diff icu lty of ftitur e del ivery occasioned by the National Emergency it is the best interest of the City to inmediately purchase one (1) motor grader for the use and piirpo3e as set forth above; and WHEREAS, the original budget appropriation for the current fiscal year did mt provide sufficient fl.inds for the purchase of the said equipment and there are mt suf~ici,ent ftiinds on hand in the budget account set up for such matters, but there is on hand in the Contingent Fund an unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the amount necessary for such puiposes.. and the circumstances herein set out caistitute an emergency arrl grave public necessity requir- ing immediate correction which was not reasonably foreseeable wheri the current budget was adopted; now therefore 8E IT R:ESOLVED BY THE CTTY OOUNCIL OF TEiE CTTY OF PARIS: , 1. That the sum of $22073.76 be transferred from the Con- tingert Fund to Budget Accourit No. k06-Z-2 t et~ivis~.on, Capit;al Outlay, Equipment ) for the purpose of^ pu c as' orye (1) Motor Grader. 2, That the Director of Finance be and he is herery authorized and directed to effb ct such transfer of fhnds and to cause to be made a detail accaunt of the expenditure s therefrcan which shall be recorded and reported in accordance with the City Charter of the City of Paris.
