~ <br />6 - • <br />RESOLUTION NO. 500 <br />WHEREAS$ a motor grader owned and use d by the City of Pari s <br />for mainterance aaid construction of streets and thoroughfares with'Ln <br />the City has beoome out of repair to such an extent that it can no <br />longer be safe 19 or e conomically operat ed; and <br />Because of the necessity of maintaining the streets in a safe <br />and passable oonditi on and due to diff icu lty of ftitur e del ivery <br />occasioned by the National Emergency it is the best interest of <br />the City to inmediately purchase one (1) motor grader for the use <br />and piirpo3e as set forth above; and <br />WHEREAS, the original budget appropriation for the current <br />fiscal year did mt provide sufficient fl.inds for the purchase of the <br />said equipment and there are mt suf~ici,ent ftiinds on hand in the <br />budget account set up for such matters, but there is on hand in the <br />Contingent Fund an unappropriated and unencumbered balance of the <br />amount necessary for such puiposes.. and the circumstances herein <br />set out caistitute an emergency arrl grave public necessity requir- <br />ing immediate correction which was not reasonably foreseeable wheri <br />the current budget was adopted; now therefore <br />8E IT R:ESOLVED BY THE CTTY OOUNCIL OF TEiE CTTY OF PARIS: <br />, 1. That the sum of $22073.76 be transferred from the Con- <br />tingert Fund to Budget Accourit No. k06-Z-2 t et~ivis~.on, Capit;al <br />Outlay, Equipment ) for the purpose of^ pu c as' orye (1) Motor <br />Grader. <br />2, That the Director of Finance be and he is herery authorized <br />and directed to effb ct such transfer of fhnds and to cause to be <br />made a detail accaunt of the expenditure s therefrcan which shall be <br />recorded and reported in accordance with the City Charter of the <br />City of Paris. <br />Passed in special session of the City Council of the City of <br />Paris this the 20th day of June,, 1951, at the Council ChaQnbers of <br />gaid City. <br />i <br />f.. ~1-++s+r~ <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />i <br />- <br />City Cleiic <br />- <br />
