Ferryman, Jr., has served the City of Paris <br />as City Manager since January l, 1949, in a most conunendable and <br />satisfactory manner, and <br />iNhereas, his untiring efforts and diligent work have been of <br />inestimable value to the CitJ of Paris and its citizens and has <br />resulted in nUmerous i.mprovenents and advantages, and <br />Whereas, a state of emergency now exists i.n our nation and <br />John W. Perryman, Jr., has been called to serve in the Armed <br />Forces of the United States: <br />NOW, THEREE'O:ZE, BE IT R.ESOLVED OF THE CITY CQUNCIL OF THE CIT`.l <br />OI' PARIS : <br />1. That John W. Perryman, Jr., be, and he is hereby, granted <br />leave of absent from his position as City Manager of the City of <br />Paris for the duration of his service in the Armed Forces of the <br />United States, and that no compensation be paid him until he re- <br />sumes his duties as City Manager. <br />2. Be it further resolved that the City Conncil extend to him <br />its sincere appreciation for the excellent performance of his <br />marq duties as City Manager, and its hope that he xill return and <br />again serve as City Manager upon being released.from the Armed <br />Forces of the United 5tates. <br />passed in special session of the City Council at the regular <br />Council Chambers, in the City of Paris this the 29th day of Jan- <br />uary, 1951. <br />Lfayor <br />ATTEST: <br />j - I~'-- <br />City C er <br />
