• • <br />RESOLUTION N0. ~ <br />A RESOLUTIOTd OTtDERING an Election to be held between the hours of <br />7:00 A.11. and 7:00 P.M., on the 5th day of Apri1, 19492 same being the first <br />Tuesday in April, 1949, by the qualified voters of the City of Paris for the <br />purpose of electing certain City Officers for the ensuing term, beginning on <br />the 5th da,y of Apri1. 1949, and ending on the first Tuesday in April, 1951. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIZ OF THE CITY OF PARIS that an <br />election be held by the q_ualified voters of the City of Paris between the <br />hours of 7:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M., on the 5th day of April., 191+9, for the <br />purpose of electing the following Gity Officers: Three Councilmen at Large, <br />as provided in Section 16~ Article III,, of the Charter of the City of Paris, <br />adopted on November 2, 1948, to serve for the ensuing two yearsp beginning <br />on the First Tuesday in April., 1949, and ending on the First 3'uesday in Aprilj, <br />19 51. <br />The Pollirg places and presiding officers of the election sha71 be respectively <br />as follows: <br />u+Tard 1: Central Fire Station Mrs. F. H. Patterson, Presiding Officer <br />'Naxd 2: Grand Hotel <br />4Vard 3: County Courthouse Basement <br />11rs. H*gh Collins, Presiding Officer <br />Don Wair, Presidi.ng Officer <br />Vdard 4: Paris High School Gymnasium <br />Joe Hillhouse,, Presiding Officer <br />The Baayor is instructed to give thirty days notice of said election by posting <br />notices at each polling place for that period of time and publishing a similar <br />notice in the official paper, the Paris News, a paper of general circulation in <br />the City of Paris, Texas. <br />The election to be held in accordance with the general election laws of the <br />State of Texas insofar as sam.e are applicable and with the <br />provisions of the City Charter. <br />Passed: March 31 1949 ~ <br />til <br />Ayes o~ .
