419 RES AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING CONDEMNATION OF PROPERTY FOR ROW PURPOSES

. RESOLUTION Nd. A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing condemnation of property for right-of-way pux'poses on Bonham Street and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the State Highway Department has agreed to imprave Bonham Street by widening the concrete surface and building curb on each side of such street without cost to the City of Paris other than procuring additional ten feet of right-of-vsay on each side of the present right-of-way, and , tiVHEREAS, the work agreed to be performed by the State Highway Department wi11 greatly improve said Bonham Street and be a great saving to the City of Paris and property owners along the i.mroved portion of Bonham Street and for such reason, it is essential that the City of Paris acquire the additional right-of-way required, NOW TI-EF.EFnRE., BE IT RESOLUED that such additional right-of-way be aG- guired and that the portions of said additiona,l. right-of-way that cannot be acquired by voluntary conveyances by the respective ov+mers be acauised by oondemnation proceedings as provided by the laws of the State of Texas and the provisions of the Charter and Ordinances of the City of Pariso . GVf-iEREaS, the State Highway Department tivill not begin work on said street improvements until the additional right-of-way is acauired, creates a public emergency which is herebv declared= requiring that the Charter provisions and rules prohibiting the passage of aa--e at the same meeting at which it is introduced and requiring it to be sulxnittpl to a committee, be suspended, the same is accordingl,y done and this 6rdi~e wiu- take effect from and after its passage.
