City Council Meeting <br />September 10, 2001 <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />furnishing and delivery of Powdered Activated Carbon for use in the Water <br />Treatment Plant, and the following bids were presented: <br /> <br />Norit Americas, Inc. <br />Southwest Chemical <br /> <br />$0.390 per pound <br />$0.399 ~ " <br /> <br />A motion was made by Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Bell, <br />to award the bids to Norit Americas, Inc., in the amount of $0.390 per pound. <br />The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-137, conditionally awarding the bid and authorizing a <br />contract for the performance of concrete and masonry work as part of the Paris <br />Santa Fe - Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation Project to American <br />Restoration, Inc., in the amount of$116,016.00, was presented. A motion was <br />made by Councilman Plata, seconded by Councilman Bell, for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion carried 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-138, conditionally awarding the bid and authorizing a <br />contract with American Restoration, Inc., for the performance of carpentry <br />work as part of the Paris Santa Fe - Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation <br />Project, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Plata, seconded <br />by Councilman Carter, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 7 <br />ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-139, conditionally awarding the bid and authorizing a <br />contract with American Restoration, Inc., for the performance of finishing work <br />as part of the Paris Santa Fe - Frisco Railroad Depot Rehabilitation Project, was <br />presented.
