MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE PLANNING AND <br />ZONING COMMISSION <br /> SEPTEMBER 4, 2001 <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission met Tuesday, September 4, 2001, 5:30 <br />P.M., Paris Junior College, Applied Technology Building, Room 1016, 2400 <br />Clarksville Street, Paris, Texas with the following members present: <br /> <br />1. Reeves Hayter <br />2. Cleveland L. Thomas <br />3. Barbara Forrest <br /> <br />4. Louis Yates <br />5. Marshall Kent <br />6. Bobby L. Myers <br /> <br />Steve Methven, the building official was also present. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Reeves Hayter. <br /> <br />The minutes from the August 6, 2001, regular planning and zoning <br />meeting were approved with a motion by Bobby Myers and seconded <br />by Louis Yates. Motion carried by a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Public Hearing to consider the petition of Jean Townsdin for a change <br />in zoning from a One-Family Dwelling District No. 2 (SF-2) to a <br />Multiple-Family Dwelling District No. 1 (MF-1), Lot 2, City Block 255- <br />A, being number 2551 E. Price. <br /> <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br /> <br />Jean Townsdin, spoke in favor of the petition stating that she sold the <br />property to Brad Bullard. Mr. Bullard stated that he bought the <br />property and wants to build 4 duplexes similar to Sanyoon Lee's <br />property on 25th NE. Chairman Hayter asked if other property in the <br />area is zoned Multiple Family. Setbacks were discussed and it was <br />explained that setbacks would have to be 10' from the rear and both <br />sides and would have to meet code. The Commission was concerned <br />about the lot size and if the buildings would meet the proper setbacks. <br />Mr. Methven stated that a site plan would be required before a permit <br />is issued. <br /> <br /> <br />
