Special City Council Meeting <br />July 16, 2001 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Galveston Area Council of Government, for use by the Auto Theft Division of <br />the Paris Police Department in conformance with the aforesaid supplemental <br />Automobile Theft Prevention Program Grant No. SA-01-T01-09363, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell for approval of the <br />resolution. The motion was seconded by Councilman Gray and carried 6 ayes, <br />0 nays. <br /> <br />Mayor Pfiester announced that the next item on the agenda was to appoint <br />members to the Board of Directors of the Paris Economic Development <br />Corporation. This item had been tabled at the last meeting. Mayor Pfiester <br />said a motion would be needed if the City Council wished to consider this item. <br />A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by Councilman <br />Plata, to bring this item from the table. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-114, reappointing Jay Guest and appointing Curtis <br />Fendley to serve as members of the Board of Directors of the Paris Economic <br />Development Corporation for terms of three (3) years, beginning July 20,2001, <br />and ending July 19, 2004, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman <br />Plata, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, for approval of the resolution. <br />The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-115, reappointing Mary Lane, Ricky Mackey, Joel <br />McCray, and George Robinson as members of the Traffic Commission of the <br />City of Paris for terms of three (3) years, beginning July 1, 2001, and ending <br />June 30, 2004, was presented. A motion was made by Councilman Bell, <br />seconded by Councilman Plata, for approval of the resolution. The motion <br />carried 6 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2001-116, reappointing Louis Yates, Jr. and Marshall Kent, <br />Jr., as members of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Paris for <br />terms of three (3) years, beginning July 1,2001, and ending June 30, 2004, was <br />presented. A motion was made by Mayor Pro Tem Manning, seconded by <br />Councilman Bell, for approval of the resolution. The motion carried 6 ayes, 0 <br /> <br /> <br />
