n r <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2001-183 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br />PARIS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A PURCHASE <br />ORDER FOR ONE (1) MODEL YEAR 2002 4WHEET, ARIVE <br />BACKHOE/LOADEB FOR USE IN THE WATER AND SEWER DIVISIONS <br />OF THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE HOUSTON- <br />GALVESTON AREA CpUNCIi, OF GOVERNMENTS; MAKING OTHER <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELA'I'ED TO THE SUBJECT; AND <br />PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has been a member of the Cooperative Purchasing Program <br />through We Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments since October 1, 1990; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is deemed appropriate that the City of Paris purchase a backhoe/loader for <br />use in the Water and Sewer Divisions of the Public Works Department through said Houston- <br />Galveston Area Council of Governmenis; and, <br />WHEREAS, it is further deemed appropriate that the City Manager be authorized to <br />execute a purchase order for one (1) Model Year 2002 4-Wheel Drive Backhoe/Loader for a total <br />purchase price of $66,061.51, which represenu the cost of the backhoe/loader, which is <br />$64,989.19, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is <br />$1,072.32; NOW, THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, <br />TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this resolution are hereby in all <br />things approved. <br />Section 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute, <br />on behalf of the City of Paris, a purchase order for one (1) Model Year 2002 4-Wheel Drive <br />Backhoe/Loader for use in the Water and Sewer Divisions of the Public Works Department for <br />a total purchase price of $66,061.51, which represents the cost of the backhoe/loader, which is <br />$64,989.19, plus the cost of the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Governments fee, which is <br />$1,072.32. <br />Section 3.
