<br />Section 2. That the Mayor of the City of Paris,
<br />Paris, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause
<br />notice of such public hearings to be published once in the
<br />newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the
<br />above described territorv not more that twenty (20) days nor
<br />less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public
<br />hearings, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation
<br />(Chapter 43, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated - Local
<br />Government).
<br />Section 3. It is hereby declared to be the inten-
<br />tion of the City Council of the City of Paris that the
<br />sections, paragraphs, sentPnces, clauses and phrases of this
<br />ordinance are severable, and if any phrase, clause, sen-
<br />tence, paragraph or section of this ordinance shall be
<br />declared uncor.tstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment
<br />or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such
<br />unconstitutionality or invalidity shall r.ot affect any of
