� ORDINANCE NO. 88-054 � AN ORDINANCE �F THE CITY OF PARIS, PARIS, TEXAS, PROVIDING THAT THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, CITY OF PARIS, BE AMENDED BY REVISING SECTION 21-10 OF SAID CODE; PROVIDING FOR AN INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF REWARD AND EXPANDING THE SCOPE TO INCLUDE VANDALISM TO CITY PROPERTY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF JANUARY 1, 1989. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS: Section 1. That Section 21-10 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, be amended so that such shall read as follows: "Sec. 21-10 Reward for arrest and conviction for theft of City property. The City hereby offers a reward of up to one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) to any person supply- ing information or evidence which results in the arrest and conviction of any person found guilty of committing the offense of theft or vandalism of City property. This reward is a standing offer and shall be paid out of the general fund of the City. The amount of the reward to b� paid in each case is to be determined by a committee composed of the director of finance, chief of police, and city attorney. Members of the city's police department, members of the city's fire department with assigned responsibility for arson investigation, department heads and division heads are not eligible to receive the reward herein established."
