The wrapper shall be of the quality <br />manufactured by the Mar-Mac Manu acturing Company or approved equal. <br />The inside joint recess of pipe 24 inches in diameter and lazger shall be filled with mortar and <br />finished off flush with the interior of he pipe barrel. On pipe smaller than 24 inches in diameter the inside <br />of the joint shall be made by "butterin " the bell end of the pipe in place with enough mortaz to fill the inside <br />joint recess before the spigot end of t e next length of pipe is placed in position. After the pipe is in place, <br />a swab shall be drawn through the pi e to smooth off the inside of the joint. <br />d. <br />Well fitted stoppers o bulkheads shall be securely placed in all openings and in the end of the <br />]ine when construction is stopped te porarIly and at end of each day's work. It shall be the responsibility of <br />the Contractor to deliver [o the City pipeline that is clean throughout its entire length. <br />e. Concrete BlockinQ <br />2000 psi concrete shap be placed, as required, for blocking at each change in d'uection of the <br />pipeline in a manner that will securely brace the pipe against undisturbed trench walls. Concrete blocking, <br />made from Type I cement, shall have been in place four (4) days prior to testing the pipeline as herein <br />specified. <br />Item 2014-2 <br />
