ENGINEER will be OWNER's representative dur- ing the construction poriod. The duties and responsibilities and the limications of authority of ENGINEER as O W N ER's representative during construction are set fotth in the Con- tract Documents and shatl no[ be extended without written consent of OWNER and ENGINEER. Visifs lo Site: 9.2. ENGINEER will make visits to [he site at intervals appropriate to the various stages of construction [o observe the progress and quality of the execu[ed Work and to deter- mine, in general, if lhe Work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents. ENGINEER will not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-si[e inspections to check [he quatity or quantity of the Work. ENGINEER's etTons will be directed [oward providing far O WNER a geater degree oCeonfidence that the eompieted Work will conCorm to the Conuact Documents. On the basis of such visits and on-sice obscrvations as an experienced and qualified design proCes- sional, ENGINEER will keep O WNER inCormed oCthe prog- ress of the Work and will endeavor to guard O WNER against deCects and deficiencies in the Work. , Praject Repretenlation: ~ 93.
