JE (i) NEW 2002 <br />EELED EXCAVATOR <br />Purpose: <br />The equipment requested in these s ecifications shall be used in normal fleet operations in <br />the Gity of Paris, Texas, equipment eet. Shall have ample room for redio equipment and <br />fire extinguisher to be mounted in ide cab. Shall be able to perform under conditions <br />normally encountered in city flee , ie., occasional flooding, extended idling, muddy <br />conditions, and in all temperatur s without adversely affecting the operation of the <br />equipment. <br />GENERAL BID REQUIREMENTS <br />A. It is the intent of these speci cations to describe a 4-Wheeled Excavator in sufficient <br />detaii to secure bids on com arable equipment. All parts not specifically mentioned, <br />which are necessary to provi e a complete Excavator shall be included in the bid and <br />shall conform in strength an quality of material and workmanship to what is uzually <br />provided the trade in gen rel. The Excavator shall be a current model under <br />standard production by the anufacturer. <br />B. Any units not conforming t these specifications will be rejected, and it will be the <br />responsibility of the man facturer to conform with the requirements unless <br />deviations have been cited y the bidder and acceptance made on the basiz of the <br />acceptance. <br />C. Equipment shall be delivere fully serviced, adjusted and ready for operation. All <br />repairs or modifications n eded for normal operation shall be made to the <br />satisfadion of the City of Paris. <br />D. Replacement parts and servi e department shall be maintained with 150 miles of the <br />City of Paris. Service Depa ment shall be staffed with qualified service men, shall <br />stock a representative parts supply (especially fast wear items), and shall have <br />provisions for securing part from the manufacturer. <br />E. The successful bidder or rrianufacturer shall provide an instructor for a treining <br />session at the City of Pariz leet Maintenance Garage. This training shall orient ciry <br />personnel on the operation and mechanical features of the equipment purchased. <br />
