Mr. Gutierrez became a full time <br />member of McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C., in August, 1995, and was admitted <br />to the State Bar of Texas in November, 1995. <br />SERGIO E. GARCIA is from San Juan, Texas where his family still resides. He graduated <br />from Pharr-San Juan-Alamo High SchooL Mr. Garcia attended undergraduate school at <br />The University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts in Government in 1992. <br />He received his J.D. degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1995 <br />and was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May, 1996. Mr. Garcia joined McCreary, <br />Veselka, Bragg & Allen, in May of 1993 as a law clerk while attending law school. <br />JUDY SINGLETON is the managing attorney in our Longview Office. She received a <br />B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1986, and graduated from the <br />University of Texas School of Law in 1990. Mrs. Singleton has also been a Certified <br />Public Accountant since 1991. Prior to j oining MVBA, Mrs. Singleton has six years <br />experience as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney for Gregg County. Additionally, <br />Mrs. Singleton pursued a private practice emphasizing Criminal, Family and Probate Law <br />and Guardianships, representing clients in all phases of ligitation, including jury trials. She <br />is a member of the Accounting Society and Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society, and enjoys <br />traveling and spending time with her husband and fourteen month old twins. <br />LEE GORDON is an attorney who joined the Firm in the Austin office on October 18, <br />2000. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas in <br />1972 and from Texas Tech University with a law degree in 1975. Mr. Gordon has <br />over 20 years of experience in the field of ad valorem taxation. He has represented <br />many taxing entities throughout the state in both collection and appraisal matters. <br />In addition to being licensed to practice in state court, Mr. Gordon is licensed to practice <br />in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas where he has <br />represented taxing jurisdictions in bankruptcy cases. <br />Mr. Gordon has made numerous collection and bankruptcy presentations to taxing <br />entity personnel at their offices as well as to associations of taxing jurisdictions. <br />He is also certified by the Texas Association of Appraisal Officers to teach various <br />continuing legal education courses. <br />Lee is the proud husband of Jodie Gordon, a pre-school teacher at St. Matthews Episcopal <br />Day School, and the proud father of Hannah Gordon, an elementary school student at <br />Hill Elementary in Austin.
